A derivation of the word, "snark," or "snide remark." Snarking is the act of making rude or critical remarks or otherwise "pranking" another person, normally anonymously and online.
John: Did you read the comments posted on your blog?

Jane: Yeah, "bigteninch" is this assole from work who is pissed because I wouldn't go out with him. Now he's snarking me.

It is when someone secretly sends humorous or embarrasing e-mails from another persons e-mail address as a practical joke.

A game, of sorts, wherein a group of snarky people stand in a circle and try to outsnark eachother with increasingly witty, disdainful comments.
